"The Spring Showcase Repertoire " Performance / Rehearsal / Costume Fee for Levels 1, 1A, 1B, and 2A and Boys Ballet is included in tuition when registering.
Classes and curriculum at MCD are based on a 9 month academic school schedule from August - June. With advancement Summer program classes yearly in June-July. Students can spend anywhere from 1-3 years in a level. Dancers in Levels 1-2A typically have one piece of choreography in the Spring Showcase and, one possibly two parts in " The Nutcracker". Levels 1-2A do not typically participate in the more advanced and mature ballets in the Spring.

Level 1 is for ages 3 1/2 -5 years old with little to no previous ballet experience. This class builds the foundation for classical ballet training in an age-appropriate manner.
Level 1A " New Students" is for ages 6-8 years old with one year to no previous ballet experience. This class builds the basic principles of classical ballet in a nurturing environment.
These levels only require one time a week which is ideal for the recreational dancer!
Level 1A " Returning Students" is for ages 6-8 years old. This class continues to build the foundation of classical ballet training for returning MCD students. The technique and discipline of classical ballet are taught in an age-appropriate manner in a nurturing environment.
Boy's Ballet- Introducing MCD's Boys Program. A program based on boys wishing to gain strength, balance, and a sense of well-being. This program will be ballet-based while concentrating on athletic enhancement and classical work. The class is for boys ages 8-10 years old. This class meets once a week.
Level 1B is for ages 7-9 years old, with at least two years previous ballet experience. This class meets twice week.
Dancers can spend anywhere from 1-3 years in each level.

Level 2A is for dancers between ages 9-11 who have minimal experience in ballet and is considered an entry-level class. This class builds upon the basic principles of classical ballet,

Level 2B is for ages 9-11 years old, with two-four years of previous ballet experience.This class continues to build upon the basic principles of classical ballet, as well as pre pointe conditioning and Demi pointe training.

Level 3A is for ages 11+ years old with three +years of previous ballet experience. This class continues to integrate basic foundation with more complexity, advancing to intermediate principles, as well as beginning pointe. Great class if you are coming back to ballet after a break, or had little experience as a child.

Level 4 is for ages 13+ with multiple years of previous ballet experience. This class builds upon intermediate principles, pointe work, and variation classes.

Level 5 is for ages 14+ with multiple years of previous ballet experience. This class works on advanced principles, pointe work, and variation classes.

Level 6 is for ages 15/16+ with multiple years of previous ballet experience. This class works on advanced principles, pointe work, and variation classes.
Strength / Flexibility class is for ages 13-18 years old. This class is for dancers who want to attain greater core and overall strength as well as flexibility and range of motion.
