Masking Policy

MCD matches its policies with the County of Marin Department of Health and Human Services. Masks at this time are optional for all individuals, and strongly recommended for unvaccinated and immunocompromised individuals. Dancers may be required to wear a mask when returning to the studio after holiday breaks.

Under-The-Weather Students

MCD continues to require any students feeling under the weather or presenting any cold/flu/covid symptoms to stay home. If Faculty notices a student seemingly under-the-weather, they will be offered a mask at a minimum, and a call home to pick up student may be made at the discretion of our Faculty.

Tuition

Tuition is not refundable for missed classes due to illness, including Covid-19. Make-up classes are not guaranteed, but we do our best to accommodate them when possible.

• Thorough cleaning in high traffic areas (reception area, dressing room and dancer bathroom) will be performed daily. Commonly used surfaces will be frequently disinfected. 
•  Between classes all barres and equipment will be sanitized. .
•  All doors to the outside will remain open at all times if the weather permits, to aid in air turnover.
• All barres, Pilates equipment, and touchable surfaces are cleaned and sanitized between each use. We will have dancers wipe down their space and any equipment they use for Pilates after each use.
• Entrances and exits, and points of sale are equipped with proper sanitation products, including hand sanitizers and sanitizing wipes. 
• Bathrooms will be stocked with soap and touchless soap dispensers and touchless paper towel dispenser at all times. We have tissues, no-touch trash cans in the bathrooms and reception area, hand soap, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and disinfectants. We have equipped the studio entrance with a touchless hand sanitizer stand. We ask that everyone remove street shoes when entering the reception area and hand sanitizes right away. Hands-free devices have been placed in the studio, as well as contact-less Apple pay payment systems.
•  We also use medical grade Hepa filter fans and Hepa/ UV Air Filter fans from "Germ Guardian" during all classes as well as open doors for air flow. 

• Do not bring your child to the studio if your child is not feeling well or has a fever.
• To minimize common area usage, we are asking that all students fully dress in their uniforms before coming to the school. The dancer should still wear street shoes into the studio or outdoors where they will switch into their dance shoes.
• Please do not come to the studio until 10-15 minutes prior to class or rehearsal. 
• It is very important for students to stay home whenever they are not feeling well. Make-ups will be available  in-person.
• If your dancer exhibits symptoms of Covid-19 or has been in contact with someone positive please email the Director right away, and in good conscience please have your dancer tested and relay the results by email. 

• Now more than ever it is important for parents to be on time for pickup.  Students will be released from class allowed to put on their street shoes and then exit the building in the back parking lot to wait for their parents. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the end of classes. We have intermittent staff to attend to dancers after they are let out of their class, not all classes will have an attendant outside. 
• We have scheduled 5 minutes between each class to allow for a thorough cleaning of the studio / outdoor barres and space between each class. All surfaces will be wiped down between classes.
